Description
Week 1. Get to know your sewing machine (bring your own if you wish), tools of the trade, overlocking and basic hand and machine stitches. Make your pincushion!
Week 2. Choose a pattern. Measuring yourself and others. Understanding pattern information and markings. Grading patterns up and down tailors tacks. Buy fabric or order.
Week 3. Cutting out.
Week 4. Preparation to fitting.
Week 5. Fitting and adjustments to pattern and item.
Week 6, Second fit and start making up
Week 7 and 8 Making up to finish
Week 7 and 8 Making up to finish
Some of the work may need to be completed at home to prepare for the next lesson but this is not essential.
Cost: £130 payable in advance.
